Thank you for your review - we are really pleased you enjoyed your visit. We apologise for the limited access to the eel feeding, this is something we would like to be able to remedy in the future. Kind regards from the team @ The National Kiwi Centre, Hokitika
Really enjoyed it here, went to the 9.30am session, spent along time watching the kiwis, they were quite active. We even got to listen to their calls which was fun. Enjoyed the eel feeding as well, the talk given about them was informative and entertaining.
Thank you, it is always good to hear people enjoyed their visit. I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday.
We loved everything about this place Up close encounter with the kiwis and eels and crayfish
Thank you, we are pleased you enjoyed our centre.
It was disappointing at best. Too dark to see. Overpriced but to a good cause I guess
I am sorry you did not enjoy your time here. We do have to keep the Kiwi house dark as they are nocturnal, it is a fine balancing line to not stress them and let you see them. I hope you enjoyed the rest of our centre.
great could feed eels and see kiwi outpost - great fun
Hiya - thank you for your review! Great to see you enjoyed your visit =) Kind regards from the team @ The National Kiwi Centre, Hokitika

Fun place for kids
Awesome wee place for a look around. We enjoyed our visit. Our son enjoyed catching and releasing the crawlies. The kiwi was a funny wee character, jumping and running about. Th only issue we had was there was no wheelchair access to see the eel feeding (this was upstairs). Friendly staff who clearly enjoy their job and love the animals.
