Nice soak
We enjoyed the family pools as it catered to the adults and our 7 year old.
Thank you for visiting with your family. It’s great to hear you all enjoyed the Family Pools and found them a perfect fit for both adults and little ones. We hope to welcome you again for another relaxing day together.
The family pools area is really small and sadly not worth the expense. There is nothing for kids to play with other than the very average/slow slide. Our kids lost interest and wanted to leave in less than 20 mins of arriving and they love swimming pools. Unfortunately, we would not return to the family area next time we are in Rotorua.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. The Family Pools are located within a heritage-protected area and include the original men’s swimming pool from the late 1800s, which forms an important part of the site’s history. Because of this heritage status, the area is carefully preserved and designed as a geothermal soaking and swimming space rather than a waterpark-style attraction. Children are welcome to bring their own swim toys to use in the pools, which many families find adds to their visit.
It was so and so maybe because we just tried the family pools. Which is chaotic since we have kids and other kids. But if we should have tried the deluxe and pavilion ones maybe we will give a better rating. There is a waiting time of 45mins to be able to enter the family room. I just hope they make a time limit for 2 hours just so booking time be followed. But water is great and hot.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. The Family Pools can be lively during school holidays, and we do note expected wait times online at those peak periods. There’s no time limit for entry, so families can enjoy their visit at their own pace. We’re glad you enjoyed the mineral waters and hope you might try the Deluxe Lake Spa or Pavilion Pools next time for a quieter experience.
