For a dining experience unlike any other in Queenstown, join us on a trip to the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant at Walter Peak High Country Farm. Cruise in style out to Walter Peak aboard the spectacular 'Lady of the Lake' (TSS Earnslaw, 1912), returning on the vessel back to Queenstown.
Your evening begins with a magical cruise across Lake Wakatipu aboard the TSS Earnslaw, a vintage steamship launched in 1912 and rich in local pioneering history. She is the only hand-fired commercial passenger carrying vessel in the Southern Hemisphere.
Arriving at Walter Peak High Country Farm on the opposite side of the lake it is time to disembark for the ambience of the Colonel’s Homestead Restaurant situated in beautiful gardens.
The menu includes an extensive range of local and New Zealand produce, succulent meats cooked on the rotisserie, a delicious range of vegetables and salads. Then finish with your dining experience with tantalising desserts, cheeses and freshly brewed tea and coffee.
After dinner enjoy a stroll around the beautiful gardens.
The entertainment continues on the spectacular night-time cruise home, where you can join in on a sing-a-long with the ship's pianist or just enjoy the fresh air and stunning views on the deck as the sparkling lights of Queenstown draw closer.
*Please note the TSS Earnslaw will be on survey from 4th - 29th June 2024 - a replacement vessel will be used during this period - thank you*

second trip on the Earnslaw. food and service are fantastic and setting is stunning
We have missed this a few times and we finally managed to do it. Staff are amazing, food from dinner is so good, Would recomend to anyone visiting Queenstown.
Highly recommended
The day went by perfect, good and organised. The boat ride could not be better. The restaurant area and facilites look like a ferry tale. Food wise, i would have expected fresh bread ( all 3 types hard and dry ) coming from a meat country i would expect meat to be hot and it was slightly warm. Did not look as recently cooked ( was on plates waiting to be picked up ) Fish was dry and cold too. Cold dishes were nice tasty and the amount and variety was good. Deserts were good too. Thanks

Amazing & well worth it
We went for the dinner trip & "Wow" The trip out was beautiful & being able to watch the workings of the steamer was great. The food & variety was the best I have ever seen let alone the taste! Huge praise for the chefs at Walter Peak. Perfect evening thank you 💕
