Highlights

  • Learn about our conservation efforts and future plans
  • Explore a stunning nature reserve
  • Guided tour with expert knowledgeable staff
  • Contribute to conservation

Join us for a 90-minute Wildlife and Conservation Tour at our eco-reserve in Dunedin. Begin your experience in our theatre, where you'll learn about the conservation journey that started in 1985 with the endangered yellow-eyed penguin. This introduction sets the stage for understanding the vital work being done to protect native wildlife and restore local ecosystems.

After the presentation, hop on a bus for a short ride to the reserve. Here, you'll embark on a guided 2km nature walk through diverse coastal and forest habitats. Along the way, our knowledgeable staff will share insights about predator control, planting initiatives, and the various native species we monitor, including penguins, seabirds, and unique flora.

Your visit not only enriches your understanding of conservation but also directly supports our ongoing efforts to protect these species. Come explore and contribute to the future of New Zealand's wildlife.
